as long as you have a thermo it will be fine to be honest the watts arent that high in them so they dont get that hot ...they just spread a nice even heat ..x

Tayer - I used to have heat mats in my units - I made a small circle in the back to slot the wire through (removed the plug) and then taped the mat to the bottom and put my fleeces on top - never had a problem, the ones in the conservatory had an extra mat fixed to the back of the unit to give a little extra boost x

Helen do you put the extra heat mat that u use on the bk of viv on inside or outside?

for some reason, mine crackle in the micro like i have lead foil in there, but i havnt only the pad.....so i cant use mine.
