PostSubject: question about temperature sensors   Tue Jun 17, 2014 12:42 pm

Does anyone know, if the temperature sensor for the che has been chewed, if it is still likely to work ok? It is still reading the same, but I'm concerned that it may not work at full capacity and don't want to risk in winter it not working.

I removed Menuki's igloo the other day, thinking it might be getting too warm, leaving just his hedgiebag. I awoke in the early hours to what sounded like a weird scratching noise. Turned out the sneaky little hog was sat chewing on the sensor for the temperature gauge and now it has little teeth marks and indentations in it. I've raised it a bit and put the igloo back, but really needs to be where it is for the best accurate reading, and i don't know how damaging that could be.

Naughty boy! Hedgehogs are not supposed to chew!

When you have him out, turn the temp up high and see if the light comes on - wouldn't have thought a few teethmark would stop it from working x
